FELIX JOSEPH

Felix cut his teeth in his teens, working as a studio assistant for Madness. This gave him an early education and experience, with analogue equipment and classic recording techniques. Growing up immersed in Hip Hop & RnB music, Felix is equally literate with beats and synths and respected by a broad church of creators on both sides of the Atlantic. 

Connection with the artist is everything for Felix and this has shaped his approach to the writing and recording process.

His sense of partnering with artists to deliver a vision, has led to Executive Production roles, on an increasing number of projects, including: Mahalia, ‘Love & Compromise’ and BBC Sound of 2021 Pa Salieu ‘Send Them to Coventry’ earning numerous awards, as well as 2 Ivor Novello nominations for: Best Contemporary Song and Best Album.

Felix was a key collaborator with CASISDEAD on his critically acclaimed album, ‘Famous Last Words’ released on XL Records and the iconic, masked protagonist went on to win a BRIT Award for Best Rap/Hip Hop in 2024.

Regarded as something of an enigma in the UK music scene, Felix is a perfectionist, often uncompromising but always striving for something beautiful.
